Mark McEwen ~ Stroke Awareness SAVES LIVES - Co-Host of 6th Annual Language of Love Telethon
Previously Mark was a CBS journalist and popular television news personality, who served for many years in a variety of high profile positions, including anchoring "CBS This Morning" and serving as entertainment reporter for "The Early Show." He was also a correspondent on the CBS News show, "48 Hours." Mark has interviewed many prominent newsmakers, including five Presidents: Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon. He also interviewed Steven Spielberg, Sidney Poitier, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Garth Brooks, David Letterman, Julia Roberts, Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Muhammed Ali, and Leonardo DiCaprio, and many others.
Mark McEwen, Author of Change In The Weather, Life After Stroke, and a popular morning show host will discuss his journey of rehabilitation and recovery after having a stroke in 2005, the misdiagnoses and lack of awareness that caused his condition to be overlooked, his temporary losses of speech and other motor functions, his miraculous recovery and how the stroke changed his life forever. He has toured the country, speaking on his personal journey, and his speech is one of hope, courage and inspiration.
February 2020, Mark joined the Black News Channel as Host of "All Things Men" a series dedicated to learning more about the unique, inspiring and uplifting African American Men and will discuss this as well with our audience.
