Featuring our Language of Love Foundation Family Members: Cathy Walker Bobby "Baby" Walk (BBW), RenéMarie’s Singing Husband Samantha Long, Alighted Heart (Return Guest and New Family Member) Also our Very Special Co- Host Dr. Michael Evangel Dr. Mike are thrilled to welcome these amazing individuals to today's episode! Cathy, Bobby, and Samantha each bring unique perspectives and invaluable contributions to our community, and we are excited to share their insights with you. Thank you for being part of our family! _____________________ Dr. Michael Evangel 201-447-3800 drevangel@yahoo.com Also, our Very Special Co-Host Dr. Michael Evangel, from the Chiropractic Wellness Center of Paramus, New Jersey (www.drevangel.com), is a valued member of the Language of Love Foundation family. He has been an integral part of the Annual Telethon and the Stroke RenéMarie Stroke of Luck Podcast & TV Show, contributing valuable insights to stroke and aphasia education. Dr. Mike frequently shares educational articles that enhance our understanding of these important topics. On today’s program, alongside his valuable input in other discussions, he will present information on Cereskills—a program designed to help seniors improve and retain memory, as well as enhance balance. Thank you, Dr. Mike, for always bringing fresh ideas and expertise to our discussions! ________________ Cathy and Bobby Baby Walker are not only dear friends but also an essential part of the Foundations family. They have played a vital role in the development and inception of our organization. As we shared during our 10th Annual Telethon, their journey has been far from easy. In recent years, Bobby has faced even greater challenges. He has endured four strokes, each one leaving lasting effects. One of the most difficult consequences has been aphasia, a condition that deeply impacts his ability to communicate. From my own experience, I’ve often shared how heartbreaking it can be when you’re unable to express yourself or process the words you long to say. Bobby has long struggled with high blood pressure. High blood pressure (hypertension) is a serious health concern for men in general, but it disproportionately affects African American men. The risks associated with hypertension are more pronounced in this demographic, and the consequences can be severe if left unmanaged. But the challenges don’t end there ~ despite all of this, they continue to press forward—how do they survive, and how are they doing? Cathy’s special needs brother has been nothing short of an angel for them, providing unwavering support. The truth is, they could never have made it this far without him. To add to their burdens, Cathy recently became a victim of a scam, highlighting just how ruthless and deceptive these situations can be. Tune in to learn more about their incredible journey and how they continue to navigate these challenges with strength, resilience, and love. ______________________________ Samantha Long - Samlynnlong@gmail.com Samantha Long, RYT-500, is the founder of Aligned Heart, a practice dedicated to healing through the body with a focus on nervous system regulation and trauma-informed self-care. The Impact of Alzheimer’s Disease Treatment on the Safety of Stroke Treatment: Dr. Richard Libman

Special Return Guest Dr. Richard Libman Host: Virginia Werner Richard Libman – Neurologist Chief of Division - Cerebrovascular Disease of Neurology - Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease, Long Island Jewish Medical Center Vice Chairman of Neurology of Neurology Professor Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Program Give from the HEART ~ 10th Annual Language of Love Telethon https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted... Together, we are lifting our voices and are changing the face of Strokes and Aphasia locally and around the Globe. www.languageoflovetelethon.org Did you know 15 million people suffer from stroke worldwide each year – 5 million die and another 5 million are permanently disabled. Stroke is the 5th leading cause of death and 1st leading cause of disability in the United States. On average someone in the USA has a stroke every 40 seconds. These are devastating statistics! Strokes don’t only happen to our Grandparents! A Stroke can happen to anyone, at any age, even an unborn baby! Do you know what Aphasia is? A condition characterized by either partial or total loss of the ability to communicate verbally or using written words. Due to brain trauma, injury or Stroke, a person with Aphasia may have difficulty speaking, reading, writing, recognizing names of objects or understanding what people have said. Can you imagine? - Aphasia is a "silent" life changing effect of stroke or brain trauma! By knowing the warning signs of stroke and getting help within the first 4-1/2 hours of onset it can be successfully treated. Unfortunately, the signs of stroke are too often not recognized, especially in a young person. Education in what to look for can save lives and this is where the Language of Love Telethon for Stroke and Aphasia Awareness come into play. Inception of Language of Love Telethon: Founder and President of the Language of Love Foundation, RenéMarie, had a massive Stroke at the age of 26, and suffered from Aphasia. After a long recovery, RenéMarie shared her experience in writing the book "Stroke of Luck", and is now giving back to the community and world through her Internet TV Show, www.renemariestrokeoflucktv.com, RenéMarie Language of Love Foundation Inc. www.renemarielanguageoflove.org and the annual Language of Love Telethon www.languageoflovetelethon.org ! Recovery - Financial Aid Along with awareness and our annual Telethon, RenéMarie’s Language of Love Foundation Inc. mission is to extend support and provide financial aid to stroke patients whose medical insurance resources for rehabilitation have run out. Rehabilitation is tragically underfunded! Instead of helping people get back to a productive life, it causes long, unsuccessful recovery and sadly, effects not only the individual. It often brings tension and stress to loved ones. Money should not be the determining factor in recovery. We are blessed to welcome Entertainers, Doctors, Healthcare Organizations, Nurses, Stroke and Aphasia Survivors, Volunteers, Family Friends and so much more! We cannot do this alone and this is where you come in. With your support of the 10th Annual Language of Love Telethon, we can continue to make a positive and crucial impact!
