RenéMarie Stroke of Luck Podcast & TV Show April 6, 2025, 10:15 AM – 11:15 AM ~ Planting the Seeds Special Co-Hosts The Stroke of Luck podcast and TV show, set for April 6th at 9 AM, will feature some incredible voices of the best of the BEST CO-HOSTS ~ Ginnie and Ralph!! As we welcome the renewal of spring, we reflect on the power of planting seeds—not just in the earth, but in our hearts, minds, and bodies. Jeff Bennett’s story is a powerful reminder that even after life's most difficult challenges, like his massive stroke in November 2020, new seeds of hope and strength can take root. It must have been an incredibly challenging time for him and his family, especially with the doctors recommending a DNR order. Jeff is making significant strides, even if it’s not as fast as he’d like although. Every bit of progress is worth celebrating. Jeff's initiative sounds both meaningful and impactful. Creating a platform to share helpful devices and resources for stroke survivors could make a significant difference in their recovery journey. Highlighting tools like Neuroball and the services provided by Neurofenix aligns well with his goal of offering practical support. www.EnablingStrokeSurvivors.org Join us as we nurture the seeds of hope, strength, and recovery. With Ginnie, Ralph, and Jeff sharing their inspiring stories, we are reminded that, just like spring, healing can be a season of new beginnings. Let’s believe in the power of growth, one step at a time. Here we go…. RenéMarie

Family Returns ~RenéMarie Stroke of Luck Podcast & TV Show ~ March 9, 2025, 900 AM

RenéMarie Stroke of Luck Podcast & TV Show March 9, 2025, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM ~ Family Reunion A Journey of Resilience, Hope, and Triumph RenéMarie, along with co-hosts Evan and very special return guests Jo Ann Glim and Matthew Weingartner, share inspiring stories of overcoming adversity and the power of perseverance. The RenéMarie Stroke of Luck Podcast & TV Show, RenéMarie, along with co-hosts Evan, will be joined by two incredible individuals whose stories of survival and recovery will inspire and uplift audiences. Returning guest Jo Ann Glim and guest Matthew will share their deeply personal journeys, showing the world that no matter the obstacles, the strength to persevere and overcome can light the way forward. JoAnn Glim’s story is nothing short of extraordinary. After suffering a stroke, JoAnn’s life was irrevocably altered. Left paralyzed, unable to speak, walk, or see clearly, JoAnn was trapped within her own body. Her world became confined to a hospital bed as she faced a seemingly insurmountable struggle to regain her independence. But through months of therapy and unwavering determination, Jo Ann slowly regained the ability to speak, move, and eventually, live independently again. Her powerful journey offers a beacon of hope for stroke survivors, their families, and caregivers, demonstrating that recovery, while a long and challenging process, is possible. JoAnn’s resilience also provides valuable insight to medical professionals, helping them better understand the trials patients face on their road to recovery. Today, JoAnn is not only grateful for life but is also at peace with God, offering a story of perseverance and triumph that continues to inspire others every day. Matthew’s life was also upended by health challenges, but his story too is one of overcoming adversity. As an avid athlete in high school, Matthew helped lead his baseball team to a state championship and even earned a college scholarship. However, after failing an EKG test, Matthew was diagnosed with an ascending aortic aneurysm, a life-threatening condition that led to open-heart surgery in December 2006. Against the odds, he recovered and played baseball at Farmingdale State for three more years, even making it to the 2009 NCAA Division III World Series. However, after graduation, Matthew’s journey took a different turn. His aspiration to pursue law enforcement was thwarted due to his heart surgery, but he found new paths in public safety and HVAC contracting. But in 2017, he switched careers to apprentice with the Local 3 Electrical Union—only for his life to take another drastic turn. In April 2018, Matthew suffered a massive ischemic stroke that changed everything. Despite facing an intense recovery and long months of therapy, Matthew has remained connected to his community by volunteering with his high school baseball coach and at a local gym. He remains hopeful and determined to regain his independence and one day return to work. Matthew dreams of becoming a motivational speaker and is passionate about advocating for breakthroughs in stem cell research that could help him and others regain movement, particularly in their hands and fingers. This upcoming episode of RenéMarie Stroke of Luck Podcast & TV Show will be a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of never giving up, no matter the challenges we face. Through the stories of Jo Ann and Matthew, audiences will witness the incredible power of resilience, hope, and perseverance. Tune in to hear from these courageous individuals as they share how they have overcome obstacles and continue to inspire others on their own paths to recovery and hope. Here we go…. RenéMarie
